For over 25
years Al Bush MSW/CMT has intensively studied the
relationships between mind/body/spirit and practiced both
traditional and alternative healing. With a background in
philosophy and psychology from Purdue, he pursued an MSW
from the University of NC, and practiced psychotherapy for
many years in the areas of addiction and recovery, PTSD and
trauma, family therapy and emergency room psychiatry.
In the
mid1990's, personal events turned his focus toward more
holistic and alternative paths to health and renewed his
pursuit of the mind/body/spirit junction. He completed a
three year intensive at the Institute for Contemporary
Shamanic Studies in Toronto and a 500 hour IUPUI massage
school as well as several dozen workshops, continuing
education programs and presentations. He practices bodywork
as a foundation for multimodal healing, creativity and
growth.
He believes the
body is a gateway to the emotional, physical, mental,
spiritual and sexual aspects of a person, and can be a
portal to enhanced hope, harmony, humor and happiness and
health.
